Another gift idea: Using Monograms

I know Christmas is coming really fast, that's why I said on my last newsletter that I will be sharing some gift ideas and that way you can start getting ready for it! I know we love to give everyone something and with this economy it's not that easy, but with this simple and savy gifts I am sure you can give more than you expect! Here I am sharing with you a kit I sent TAC for the Mono Madness contest, no I didn't win but I am sooooooooooooo in LOVE with this one that I want to share with you! I did 3 mini cards, a mini notebook and a scraped CD case you can add a picture and have it in your desk! I love the More Mimi Double Sided paper collection and of course I have to use it soon! What you think? I hope you like it as much as I do!

Las Navidades están a la vuelta de la esquina y se que a todas nos encanta regalar y regalarle a todos en la lista! pero también se que este año la economía no está muy buena, por eso les anuncié en el newsletter pasado, que estaré compartiendo algunas ideas de regalitos aquí en el blog para que se vayan preparando. Estos regalitos son sencillos, elegantes y delicaditos y te ayudarán a regalar más con menos dinero! Este es un kit que envié para el concurso "Monogram Madness" de TAC, lamentablemente no gané, pero estoy tannnnnnnnnn enamorada de el que quiero compartirlo con ustedes! Hice 3 mini tarjetas, una mini libretita y una cajita de CD escrapeada para que puedan poner una foto y adornar el escritorio! Me fascina la nueva colección More Mimi que es doble cara, así que quise usarla tan rápido como pude (en realidad esos fueron unos scraps que nos dieron en el Seminario, jeje). ¿Qué te parece? Espero que te guste tanto como a mi!

Wednesday of Challenge and a TIP!

I had such a hard time posting today!! lol! I had to work in my laptop and DH's computer to get this going, but here I am! with my challenge!! and a tip for you! well actually a discover with Graphic Blooms and our Extra Jumbo Flower Punch. YES!! look at this! this flower goes perfect with our Flower Punch, is a breeze to work with it!! and I love it. Look at the picture with the flower so you know wich flower is and look the little card I did! Is so cool!! do you like it?

And now the challenge, do something with flowers and/or a punch and share it with me here!

Tuve que usar la laptop y la PC para poder hacerlo, pero aquí estoy con mi challenge y un tip para tí! bueno actualmente un descubrimiento con el Graphic Blooms y nuestro Extra Jumbo Flower Punch. SI!! mira esto! esa flor va perfecto con nuestro Punch de Flores, es super fácil trabajar con ellos! y me encanta!! Mira la foto para que veas la flor que va con el punch y mira la tarjetita que hice!! Es super!! te gusta?

A little bad news!

I hate to tell bad news but I need to do it this time, but is not that bad. Yesterday there was some power problems and my comuter don't want to turn on!! is in a safe power mode and that is! I tried some different things, but NADA, so tomorrow we are going to try to deal with it and have a solution or buy another one (is an old computer, about 7-8 y/o). I am posting from DH's computer but in this one I haven't install some programs and I can't also check my favorites sites, and can't be here for long time, lol!
I did finish my Memory Crafter Club's kits! So if you are suscribe watch for them soon!

Want some Fresh Flowers?

Here is a Semi Handmade project I did about a month ago! (I will tell you the story later!) and I have been wanting to share it with you since the very first moment I did it!

For this project I used the Mimi Papers: First I made the Flowers, I cut the bigger flowers by hand (yes, I did, lol, I am not good with scissors!) and the little one using the Flower Punch that we carry. Then I add the button and a wire to attach them inside the basket. I have a bunch of this little basket (for ages!!, I am planning to do more soon I really LOVE them). The butterfly is from the Butterfly Bits set that I LOVE, LOVE forever!! (I stamp the solid one using Toile Pink and the Floral one using Claret) The ribbon is from the Lily Anna collection. I also add grass from the Floral Department!! Don't you love this little project? Is o easy to do, that I can tell you I do Love it! I am so HAPPY but tired!!

Yes, today was my Team Meeting (want to come for the next? ask me about it). We have so much fun!!! and I think the meeting was really productive. Sharing with my colleagues is really exciting! I learn, they learn, we all learn together! I didn't take pictures, but I know some of the girls did, so I will wait to share with you later!! Yes, we did the group picture and that was fun, right?

I organize a swap for the meeting and here is the card I did! I love that Victorian Elements so much!! Well I need to go to bed, when the meeting was over my family was waiting for me to watch Marley and ME! Did I cry? Yes, I did, have you seeing it? If not you should do!! Is a great moovie!

Scrapbooking Challenge!

Yep! it was time again for another challenge at Paper Wings Forum (the only Angels Forum). As you know I am the host of the Scrapbooking Challenge there and I love it!! is so much fun to come with challenges for your fellow sisters! Our main goal in the Forum is to help us each other, so my main focus is to give ideas on how to introduce Scrapbooking to FUNshops! My challenge this time was to showcase on of our AWESOME SWIC Collections adding the extra touch and FUN with our GORGEOUS stamps! I choose the Mimi Collection and the Linear Sentiment Stamps set! Here I decorated the cardstock with the doted stamp from the LS Set and then added the White Gel Pen to get an extra effect! I really like the results! because is a simple and quick layout that you can WOWed at it! I love to show others how easy can be to do scrapbook! you don't have to incorporate all the NEW techniques and trends to do some scrapbook! you just need to presserve the treasures of your heart! and get those pictures out of those boxes! Haven't start doing scrapbooking! I challenge you to start now! and share with me your work!

In this layout I also used: Just a note (a great set for journaling) and Family is Forever! I love this set for this kind of picture! We enjoy so much at El Morro in Old San Juan!

NSD - No time to Scrap?

Today we Celebrate the NSD! "National Scrapbooking Day" and one of the things I heard a lot is that "I have no time to Scrap" and when I talked about Stamping to the Scrapbookers is that they don't want to incorporate Stamping into Scrapbooking most of the time because they "are scare". So today I challenge myself to get some time for me and work with some AMAZING pictures I have in a box! Yes, that's me!! lol! I don't have a lot of pictures of me (unless from Seminar, lol) so I picked a bunch of this cute pictures and I sure have fun!

Today, in honor of the NSD! I challenge myself to NOT work with cards today! I don't know if you know, but I start this journey as a Scrapbookers, when I discovered STAMPING! I start making cards and altered stuff! but now I am RE-discovering my passion for using stamps in my scrapbooks again!

I started with something simple for those Stampers that are not yet into scrapbooking and here is the result. A simple page with just a word in stamps. I use Mimi paper collection because I LOVE IT! and because you know something? I love that picture, lol! I was a little cute baby (sadly I can't say that anymore, lol).

Then I decide to keep my pattern paper and add a little bit of stamping what you think? Yes, that's me again (I started looking not so good! lol) with my dear grandma that is with God! I sure miss her! (she died when I was 19) I used to be with her most of the time and it was really sad for me! Anyway not sad stuff today! For this layout I just mount some pattern paper, yep! Catelynne with brown cardstock and I did some piercing in the green cardstock! to add a little bit of stamping I stamped some swirls from the Swirlies set! just as a touch of sweetness!


Since I was thinking about my grandma I picked this picture of her! it match so good with Penelope paper collection that I went to get some scrap pieces! I didn't want to just use the Pattern Paper I want to do some background effect to the Kraft cardstock! I grab my Script Background stamp and stamp it all over the Kraft cardstock! then I just mount the pieces together and finish the layout with a tag from the collection and FLOWERS! you can't go wrong with some flowers, right?

Finally! yes, I am soooo tired! (I did all this stuff while I cooked, did some loads of laundry, answer e-mail and checked the forums and groups, and everything in between! and I spent all morning playing with the girls! and in the afternoon we start learning Latin!) I am using ONLY cardstock to do this layout! I love how using cardstock only, you get the simplicity this old pictures needs! This is me with my cousin Mariela! I just added the Running Stitches stamp (since I don't have a sewing machine yet)and a Scalloped border using my scallop scissors.

Hope you enjoy this ideas! and get to do some scrapbooking, remember Scrapbooking is not about Fancy/Gorgeous pages! is about preserving the treasures of your heart, is about get them in a safe place and out of those boxes! Don't be afraid to get them done in a simply way, don't get scare to incorporate stamps on your layouts! is simple, is cool!! (start stamping in scrap papers! and then try to do some basic stamping!). Have fun and get those pictures out of the box!

I haven't share this with you!!

Oh! I can't beleive it! I thought I share this before, but I didn't!! anyway here it is! I finally organized the Memory Crafter Club "MCC" (I have been working back and forward with this project for a couple of months) but on January I sent my newsletter talking about it! and it is a HIT! everyone loves it!! I will share my suscribers comments if they let me do that, what you think? Anyway in a duh moment I haven't share it here (that's a good reason to suscribe to my newsletter, that way you have EVERYTHING! from me, lol). What is the MCC? is a monthly kit I am sending out the 25th of each month! What is there included? Happy Day!! and a HOW to...

Hope you have a great day! I don't celebrate St. Valentine's day but I do celebrate Friendship and LOVE! so here is a lil something I did for my girls! I know it said Happy Valentine's day! sorry!! I didn't remember that I do have a stamp that said "Feliz Día de la Amistad" wich means Happy Friendship's Day!! (I just remember in this moment, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that happened when you have more stamps than what you really NEED!!, shhhhhhhhhhh, don't tell my DH!!, lol)

Well I hope you like my lil box! I did it just for this pretty cakes I found at the grocery store!! I couldn't resist them! I want to share my template with you! But I couldn't make it! so here I want to share the instructions and a picture so you can get the idea! I know you are not going to use this heart cakes and maybe you can't find them by now! but she (Little Debbie TM) have lots of fun cakes that I know will fit here! so start thinking on the next holiday! or a birthday goodie, or just a nice gift to someone special, or for a baby shower, or for whatever reason you want to use it and put a smile on someone face! I know my girls ENJOY it!

Here is how to: Little Heart Cake Box Template

You need an 8” X 7” piece of cardstock!

Then on your Scor Pal score (on the 8” side) at ½”, 3”, 4 ¼ ” here move your cardstock ¼ inch and score at 7” (the score should be at 6 ¾ but there is no line to score there).

On the other side (7”) the score have to be at 1 ¾ and 5 ¾ ” (here you need to move your cardstock and star at ¼ inch this way you score at 1 ½” and 6” because you don’t have a line to score at 1 ¾ and 5 ¾.

Then cut as you see on the second picture! And you are done with it. Pretty simple, but great box for those Little Debbie’s cakes!! Hope you enjoy it!

First 5 LOVE Card...

First I want to say that the NEW producs from the Magalogue! are up on my site! so you can check them here!! OHHHHHHHH can't wait to get Mabelle's stamps and the Feline one!! ohhhhhh I just love them!!

About my weekend!! I have a lot of fun! on Saturday we went to see the Fantastic Dogs Show! and it was very cool, my favorite part was seeing my daughter's faces!! that's just priceless!! Then I received the visit from two dearest friends!! one came here to become an ANGEL!! and she is oficially a TRUE ANGEL!! lol! then I was on the phone with another friend that want to become an ANGEL!! and she is oficially a TRUE ANGEL!! too!! I have two new babies!! lol. Welcome to the family Ana and Aymar! I know that you are going to be awesome angels!!

Then on Sunday we went to Church, is always so marvelous when we connect with OUR Savior! so we keep that spirit and have a great time here! We watched a movie and then my lil one went with daddy to play upstairs! and my BIG girl came with me to the workshop to play with ME!! We did 15 cards! yes!! she is so talented!! we have lots of fun doing LOVE cards!! I bet you want to see some, right? Well here are a couple of them! I couldn't take a picture of all of them together because I was in a rush to go to the postal office and this 5 went postal today! (and 2 others too!!)

Well I need to run because today is 24 (the TV serie, not February 24, lol!!)

Happy Birthday card!

Resolutions for 2009 and a few surprises!

OH!! I need to post some of my resulotions for 2009! I love the blogging world as much as the stamping world, can you imagine?!?! I really love to share with all of you the things I have been up to and to see what others are doing out there!! So for 2009 I want to do a couple of things!!

First! I want to feature every month a WOW blogger that inspire me!! and I have the January one contacted and you are going to LOVE HER!! She is soooo sweet! and soooo TALENTED!! I can't wait to share it with you! (I already selected the 12 amazing bloggers I need to contact the other 11, lol!)

Second! I'm going to keep the Wednesday of Challenge and I'm working with a badge so you can feature it on your blog and more cool stuff! I have a question for you, what can I do to get you on my challenge? I want more participation!! can you help me with this?

Third! I want to participate on as many challenge as I can! so please e-mail me or comment on my blog to let me know about your challenges so that way I can join the fun there too!!

Well about the card: I ordered this set as soons as it came out! and now is that I'm working with it! but since I first see it I thought about LOVE!! so now was when I just get inspired to use it! Tomorrow we celebrate Three Kings Day in Puerto Rico, so I'm going to be having fun with my girls and family! so next time you get a post from me is going to be the FIRST 2009 challenge!! A couple of things and a share!

First I want to share a card with you (I will show you just one, because the pic with all of them wasn't a good one, beleive me this one looks better, lol), it was done using Prima Flowers, Swiss Dot Emb Folder, Mimi Collection and Birthday Wishes stamp set from TAC!

Second, I want to apologize for the Wednesday Challenge! ohhhhhhhhh I tried real hard to keep my blog updated daily! but sometimes is really impossible! and I need to be realistic, so I can't do a commitment on posting weekly challenges because with this crazy life, I know that sometimes is going to be impossible for me, I'm going to try to plan ahead of time and post various challenges together with different dates and see what happen if I can't make it that way either! I need to give up! I'm really sorry!! about it!

Third! I want to share the last award I received, this one came from Lisa one my sister from the Angelhood! Thanks Lisa! I really apreciate it. I invites you to check her blog, she is very talented!! and have an awesome lil boy!

and last but not least! I need to laugh!! and share with you. I was working with this cards I need to do! and I want to be easy! you know what I mean? that sounds familiar? Well the thing is that I did them quite a fast! with a design on my mind, and it was 6 cards! and when I open my blog is more or less the same sketch of the last card I shared with you! It was sooooo funny!! I didn't even look at it!!

Finally, the album for my niece!!

Yes!!! Finally I did the slide show yesterday, but have internet problems and couldn't post it yesterday! so here it is!! Hope you like it, I had a lot of fun doing it! since is a 6 X 6 with 20 layouts I finished it in less than 2 hours!! Those papers (Mimi Collection from TAC) are a blast to work with!!

I'm also working with some projects I will share next week with you because they are for the Paper Wings Forum's Birthday!! I had fun doing my projects!! So I will share with you as soon as I posted there!! because is a SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY!! and then Our Online Seminar and I have a project for that too!!! Can't wait to share with you!

I need a break!!

Wow, today was a hard day for me!! I woke up early because my parents were coming today to visit me with my nice that is going to move to USA!! on Monday! It was a hard time for us, but specially for my mother since we are planing to move away too!! then she is only going to have close the twins (boys) and their lil sister!! I don't want to think about that now, because I need to finish 38 kits for tomorrow morning!! so I need to run with this post!

I just want to share with you a I did for my niece! she graduates from Sixth Grade last Thursday! and I couldn't assist! I did also a mini album for her so she can save the graduation's pics!! Since the colors where dark pink and gold! I use the Mimi paper collection!! Here is just the Cover! because I have to keep working with tomorrow's workshop and I need to sleep too!!
