Scrapbooking Challenge!

Yep! it was time again for another challenge at Paper Wings Forum (the only Angels Forum). As you know I am the host of the Scrapbooking Challenge there and I love it!! is so much fun to come with challenges for your fellow sisters! Our main goal in the Forum is to help us each other, so my main focus is to give ideas on how to introduce Scrapbooking to FUNshops! My challenge this time was to showcase on of our AWESOME SWIC Collections adding the extra touch and FUN with our GORGEOUS stamps! I choose the Mimi Collection and the Linear Sentiment Stamps set! Here I decorated the cardstock with the doted stamp from the LS Set and then added the White Gel Pen to get an extra effect! I really like the results! because is a simple and quick layout that you can WOWed at it! I love to show others how easy can be to do scrapbook! you don't have to incorporate all the NEW techniques and trends to do some scrapbook! you just need to presserve the treasures of your heart! and get those pictures out of those boxes! Haven't start doing scrapbooking! I challenge you to start now! and share with me your work!

In this layout I also used: Just a note (a great set for journaling) and Family is Forever! I love this set for this kind of picture! We enjoy so much at El Morro in Old San Juan!

NSD - No time to Scrap?

Today we Celebrate the NSD! "National Scrapbooking Day" and one of the things I heard a lot is that "I have no time to Scrap" and when I talked about Stamping to the Scrapbookers is that they don't want to incorporate Stamping into Scrapbooking most of the time because they "are scare". So today I challenge myself to get some time for me and work with some AMAZING pictures I have in a box! Yes, that's me!! lol! I don't have a lot of pictures of me (unless from Seminar, lol) so I picked a bunch of this cute pictures and I sure have fun!

Today, in honor of the NSD! I challenge myself to NOT work with cards today! I don't know if you know, but I start this journey as a Scrapbookers, when I discovered STAMPING! I start making cards and altered stuff! but now I am RE-discovering my passion for using stamps in my scrapbooks again!

I started with something simple for those Stampers that are not yet into scrapbooking and here is the result. A simple page with just a word in stamps. I use Mimi paper collection because I LOVE IT! and because you know something? I love that picture, lol! I was a little cute baby (sadly I can't say that anymore, lol).

Then I decide to keep my pattern paper and add a little bit of stamping what you think? Yes, that's me again (I started looking not so good! lol) with my dear grandma that is with God! I sure miss her! (she died when I was 19) I used to be with her most of the time and it was really sad for me! Anyway not sad stuff today! For this layout I just mount some pattern paper, yep! Catelynne with brown cardstock and I did some piercing in the green cardstock! to add a little bit of stamping I stamped some swirls from the Swirlies set! just as a touch of sweetness!


Since I was thinking about my grandma I picked this picture of her! it match so good with Penelope paper collection that I went to get some scrap pieces! I didn't want to just use the Pattern Paper I want to do some background effect to the Kraft cardstock! I grab my Script Background stamp and stamp it all over the Kraft cardstock! then I just mount the pieces together and finish the layout with a tag from the collection and FLOWERS! you can't go wrong with some flowers, right?

Finally! yes, I am soooo tired! (I did all this stuff while I cooked, did some loads of laundry, answer e-mail and checked the forums and groups, and everything in between! and I spent all morning playing with the girls! and in the afternoon we start learning Latin!) I am using ONLY cardstock to do this layout! I love how using cardstock only, you get the simplicity this old pictures needs! This is me with my cousin Mariela! I just added the Running Stitches stamp (since I don't have a sewing machine yet)and a Scalloped border using my scallop scissors.

Hope you enjoy this ideas! and get to do some scrapbooking, remember Scrapbooking is not about Fancy/Gorgeous pages! is about preserving the treasures of your heart, is about get them in a safe place and out of those boxes! Don't be afraid to get them done in a simply way, don't get scare to incorporate stamps on your layouts! is simple, is cool!! (start stamping in scrap papers! and then try to do some basic stamping!). Have fun and get those pictures out of the box!

March WOW Blogger - Special Guest

First, I need to apologize because I couldn't send to anyone the package for this month WOW blogger! I had a lot of stuff on my plate and I couldn't contact her on time so I just contacted her for April!! I am really sorry for this. BUT, I have a Special Guest Designer for you today!! Let me tell you the story, DH was out and arrive on Saturday, so my oldest daughter, Mariana, wants to do something special for him. She started asking for a lot of stuff! lol. She wants to do a wood frame similar to one I did for the living room, but I didn't have any of those here. I opened my closet looking for something that can WOW her (she is ) and I found that box!! she was WOW! "yes mom, that can work", lol!! she asked for some papers that looks masculine (she said blue, brown and kraft, yes I was like, what? and she told me you can find something here) so I looked and found the Winchester collection she agreed and I gave her one 5 X 7 of each 5 papers, and here what she did ALL by HERSELF!!! (I only help her looking for the words she ASKED! yes she placed the tags and flower and she asked me to look for a bid DAD (that fir that label) the AND (she founded) and the word US, is on that flower because US are Mariana, Rebeca, Gabriela and ME since we are girls that word have to be in something GIRLY! I was WOW! (you have to see her talking, she talks just like me, doing all king of thing with her face and hands) I love it! I am going to do a workshop with this project, lol! Well since I didn't have a WOW blogger for you I thought to picked her to be my WOW guess! can you leave some love for her? she is 9 y/o and LOVE to scrap and stamp with or without mom, lol! She is waiting to be 18 to sign up with TAC! can you tell? I guess that I will be done when that happen, lol!

I am sure she is going to love to read your comments! she don't know that I am doing this! so is a whole surprise!!

What you think? does she have talent or is only mom's eyes!! Well mom and DH because he was WOW with it as well, he told her tha she can submit it to a contest or magazine!! lol, so I guess we are proud of her!! I know we are!

Wednesday of Challenge

WOHOOOOOOOO!! I did the Miser Linkys' stuff!! now you can add your link easier than ever!! To celebrate I will give you an extra ticket for the Blog Candy (see more info here)!! About todays' challenge! I know Spring just started, but I also know most of us haven't scrap our Christmas pictures yet! and if you have done this you probably have started your Christmas cards for this year! right? Well for this challenge is for all of you! Today is Christmas Challenge day! Just do anything Christmas and join the challenge! Share youre creations! I will love to see what you do with the Christmas theme! I am always looking for ideas to do for Christmas.



This mini album here was my Project for the Wingers DT on Paper Wings Angels Only Forum! It was a blast doing it! I enjoy it so much! it was done in an hour (including the pictures!) Is a really fun mini album! Can't wait to see your creation!

I'm here!!! do you want to see some NEWBIES??

WOW!! I thought is going to be forever!!! I missed you soooo much!!

Well I have to said, that Seminar was GREAT!! spending time with other ANGELS is priceless!! if you ever have the opportunity be there!! just GO! is a special weekend full of LOVE!! I don't want to bother with all the details, but I will try to post a sum up soon!!

I need a break!!

Wow, today was a hard day for me!! I woke up early because my parents were coming today to visit me with my nice that is going to move to USA!! on Monday! It was a hard time for us, but specially for my mother since we are planing to move away too!! then she is only going to have close the twins (boys) and their lil sister!! I don't want to think about that now, because I need to finish 38 kits for tomorrow morning!! so I need to run with this post!

I just want to share with you a I did for my niece! she graduates from Sixth Grade last Thursday! and I couldn't assist! I did also a mini album for her so she can save the graduation's pics!! Since the colors where dark pink and gold! I use the Mimi paper collection!! Here is just the Cover! because I have to keep working with tomorrow's workshop and I need to sleep too!!

This is a set of full cards I did for the custom order I told you the other day! I love to work projects like this and I know the ladies getting this are going to love it and have fun!! they are not paper crafters! so I am so happy that my friend asked me to do this for them! I always love that more people start preserving her photos and sharing creativity!

The reason of being MIA! (8 X 8 Album)

Wow!! I am soooooo sorry to be MIA for a whole week!! I've being working on my latest workshop (an 8 X 8 album with 20 layouts!!)

So as you can imagine work 20 layouts plus doing 25 kits (500 pages in total), it was really a lot of time! Thanks God I have a super special friend "Rosalyn" that helped me with this awesome project, she came to my house on Thursday to help me out plus she did the flowers for the Cover! YEAHHHHHHH she ROCKS!!!

Well here is the slide show (is the easier way to show this project, since is 21 pictures!) Hope you enjoy it as much as my friends and I did! It was such a great day; good friends, a great place and the bless of do what we LOVE!! I was in HIGH! another great thing about that day was that they finished the WHOLE album in less than 3 hours!!! I cut everything for them so they can finish in that time because I know how bad it is when you go to a workshop, pay for that and come back to house with an incomplete project!! that is soooooo wrong!!

Just a note!

Here is my latest creation and for this one I used the Just a Note Hostess set (Level C) I just love this set!! is such a great adition to my stamps collection!! I know that I am going to use it over and over! the flowers are from Floral Labels another big hit and the saying is from It's the little things Hostess set (Level A) the one you can win if you are the lucky winner of this month challenges!! and of course MIMI!! paper collection!
