I have to share a SECRET!

I still laughing about this!! Please don't tell anyone. Well, my little secret is that when I was creating the projects I wanted to submit to TAC for the Design Call, I did lots of projects! and I was ready to send them when I noticed that I haven't done anything with one of my most FAVORITE SET!! Spanish Sentiments!! Can you beleive it? I felt sooo misserable, lol! I asked so much for that stamp set (I really think I was such a pain asking for a set in Spanish ;0) and I haven't done a card for the call. So I ran to do some cards but NONE of them was what I will expect because I was so out of ideas already!! Here is one of the cards I submited, the other one is on the Catalog so if you have it you can see it, lol, but if you don't have one yet, contact me to get one copy! and I can sign it for you if you want, lol! Anyway, I wasn't satisfied with my cards but at least the set is on the Catalog and that is really something for me, I wish TAC can bring more sets in Spanish soon, what do you think?

If you haven't order that set, you can do it now! I know that you have some friends or family that speak in Spanish, it will be awesome if you send a card in tehir language, right? I know is true because when I get a message, a card or anything in my language (coming from someone that doesn't speak my language, it means the world to me! yes, the other day I received a message from someone really special for me and she wrote: you are Número Uno! and I was almost crying, lol). Todavía me río de esto, por favor no se lo digan a nadie. Bueno, mi pequeño secreto es que cuando estaba creando los proyectos que quería enviar a TAC para el "Design Call" y ya estaba lista para enviarlos, me di cuenta de que no había hecho ni uno solo con uno de mis sets FAVORITOS!! el Spanish Sentiments, pueden creerlo? Me sentí tan miserable, jeje! Tanto que pedí ese sello (en realidad creo que fui suficientemente molestoda pidiendo un set en Español ;0) y ni siquiera había hecho una tarjeta para el DC. Así que rapidísimo hice algunas tarjetas usando el set, pero NINGUNA eran lo que esperaba por que estaba ya sin ideas!! Esta es una de las tarjetas que hice, la otra está en el Catálogo así que si tienes uno la puedes ver, jeje! pero si no tienes uno todavía, contáctame para hacerte llegar una copia y lo puedo autografiar si quieres, jeje!! De todos modos, no quedé muy satisfecha con las tarjetas que envié, pero el set está en el Catálogo y eso significa muchísimo para mi, desearía que TAC hiciera pronto más sellos en Españo, que crees?

NSD - No time to Scrap?

Today we Celebrate the NSD! "National Scrapbooking Day" and one of the things I heard a lot is that "I have no time to Scrap" and when I talked about Stamping to the Scrapbookers is that they don't want to incorporate Stamping into Scrapbooking most of the time because they "are scare". So today I challenge myself to get some time for me and work with some AMAZING pictures I have in a box! Yes, that's me!! lol! I don't have a lot of pictures of me (unless from Seminar, lol) so I picked a bunch of this cute pictures and I sure have fun!

Today, in honor of the NSD! I challenge myself to NOT work with cards today! I don't know if you know, but I start this journey as a Scrapbookers, when I discovered STAMPING! I start making cards and altered stuff! but now I am RE-discovering my passion for using stamps in my scrapbooks again!

I started with something simple for those Stampers that are not yet into scrapbooking and here is the result. A simple page with just a word in stamps. I use Mimi paper collection because I LOVE IT! and because you know something? I love that picture, lol! I was a little cute baby (sadly I can't say that anymore, lol).

Then I decide to keep my pattern paper and add a little bit of stamping what you think? Yes, that's me again (I started looking not so good! lol) with my dear grandma that is with God! I sure miss her! (she died when I was 19) I used to be with her most of the time and it was really sad for me! Anyway not sad stuff today! For this layout I just mount some pattern paper, yep! Catelynne with brown cardstock and I did some piercing in the green cardstock! to add a little bit of stamping I stamped some swirls from the Swirlies set! just as a touch of sweetness!


Since I was thinking about my grandma I picked this picture of her! it match so good with Penelope paper collection that I went to get some scrap pieces! I didn't want to just use the Pattern Paper I want to do some background effect to the Kraft cardstock! I grab my Script Background stamp and stamp it all over the Kraft cardstock! then I just mount the pieces together and finish the layout with a tag from the collection and FLOWERS! you can't go wrong with some flowers, right?

Finally! yes, I am soooo tired! (I did all this stuff while I cooked, did some loads of laundry, answer e-mail and checked the forums and groups, and everything in between! and I spent all morning playing with the girls! and in the afternoon we start learning Latin!) I am using ONLY cardstock to do this layout! I love how using cardstock only, you get the simplicity this old pictures needs! This is me with my cousin Mariela! I just added the Running Stitches stamp (since I don't have a sewing machine yet)and a Scalloped border using my scallop scissors.

Hope you enjoy this ideas! and get to do some scrapbooking, remember Scrapbooking is not about Fancy/Gorgeous pages! is about preserving the treasures of your heart, is about get them in a safe place and out of those boxes! Don't be afraid to get them done in a simply way, don't get scare to incorporate stamps on your layouts! is simple, is cool!! (start stamping in scrap papers! and then try to do some basic stamping!). Have fun and get those pictures out of the box!

This is another card from Sunday! I can't beleive I haven't share this card with you! This was the card I used for my newsletter this month! I love how this color combo looks together!! I love Uptown Girl and that heart from Floral Favorites! is just LOVELY!! and what about that Swirl?

I feel sick today! so I need to go to sleep so I can feel better soon! at least my girls are fine!!

Wednesday of Challenge!

Yesssssssssssss, today is the last day for the PINK challenge!! I hope that you can submit your participations by Friday! Remember is just have to have PINK on it, since October is National Awareness Breast Cancer Month!!

Here I am!!

Yes, I know I'm kind a lost! but I'm going to explain my situation, lol!! First, Friday was a BAD day! I was feeling terrible bad!!! but thanks God on Saturday I went to do my blood test (I need to wait until Thursday for the results) and even do I was in the lab without eating for 3 hours!! and 5 blood tubes later! I finally got home and have a good family day! YIHAAAAAAA!! in the evening I started creating for the Design Call and I was working hard with that all weekend! on Monday I went again to the lab to do another test (the 2 hours sugar test?) and then I had to study for my class!! I LOVE MY CLASS!! do you know it? well I enjoy a lot my class on Monday and came home to watch Heroes and since CSI: Miami was an old one I came to my workshop to work with my submissions again (I didn't do much, I just take pictures and work with the recipe cards for the projects).

Today I was trying to put together my HUGE box to send to TAC, but my daughters wants to see Journey to the Center of the Earth! and mommy needs to see it with them, lol!! (Is a good movie!, we enjoy it a lot!) then I tried to go to the Postal Office but it was too late, so I slow down and finish everything to send it first thing tomorrow!! wow!! that was me in a nutshell for the last days!!

The card was one of the cards I did for the PW's Gallery Bingo! I used Swirles and Celebration Time stamp sets from TAC, Red and Green DCWV, Brown, Kraft and White from TAC!, Swiss Dots embossing folder and Glitter!!
