I have to made a stop and share this with you! Yesterday, I found out that Provo Craft (PC) the Cricut creators have filled a lawsuit against Make the Cut (MTC) and his creator Andrew Heinlein. You can read the court filing
here and if you wander a bit, you'll find more info along with a lot of hurting and angry users. PC has also been pulling tutorials from YouTube and dropping Cricut MB memberships for those who use or advocate using non-PC products.
The lawsuit seems to be about MTC giving users the ability to backup the Cricut cartridges that they own. It doesn't work with cartridges that you don't own. And quite frankly, the cartridges and their images and using those images aren't the reason I bought MTC. I bought MTC because sometimes I want something and none of Cricut cartridges has it, so been FREE to cut what I need was the main reason why I bought MTC!
You all know how much I love my Cricut Expression and lately I have been loving it more because I have been playing with it AND the MTC program!!
(if you don't know about MTC go here to learn a little bit, it's an amazing program that you can use to cut almost EVERYTHING using your Cricut machine!! I highly recommend it, so get yours soon! specially NOW that is on sale! You will LOVE the freedom of cut whatever you need with this amazing software!) I can tell you what I LOVE the MOST is that I can cut other images with it! I got a couple of FREE images around and also bought a couple from scrapnfonts and letteringdelights to use with my MTC and Cricut! and what PC don't know is that even with MTC and ALL the FREE and cheap stuff I can find out there, I was still buying ALL the carts I want and you know after I got MTC I bought the Gypsy and almost 25 more carts!!! so having MTC wouldn't stop me to buy carts, BUT doing this will!!
In the end, I know it won't matter, but I'd like to send a message to Provo Craft that their actions are WRONG. I plan to boycott all of their products and I hope you'll join me. This will be tough for me - they've actually got cartridges I'm interested in coming out but I'll go without and I will buy other company's compatible blades and I will re-sticky my mats or make new ones if I have to. And if it comes to it, I'll find a new cutter. I'm currently looking at other diecut machines that has a better customer service and that WANT for their customers the best they can have! I think there's space for EVERYONE to grow a business and if someone do something that gives better results to your products you should be thankful to them!

Tengo que hacer un paréntesis y compartir esto con ustedes! Ayer, me enteré de que Provo Craft(PC) los creadores de Cricut han puesto una demanda en contra de "Make the Cut"(MTC) y su creador Andrew Heinlein. Usted puede leer el documento judicial
aquí y si lees un poco, encontrarás más información y los comentarios de muchos usuarios que están disgustados con esta acción. PC también ha estado retirando tutoriales de YouTube y amenazando miembros del foro de Cricut de los que utilizan o defienden el uso de productos que no son PC.
La demanda parece estar basada en que MTC ofrece a los usuarios la capacidad de hacer "back up" a los cartuchos de Cricut que ellos poseen, pero No funciona con los cartuchos que no tienes. Y sinceramente, yo no compré MTC por que podía cortar las imágenes de los carts de cricut, yo compré MTC porque a veces quiero algo y ninguno de los cartuchos de Cricut lo tiene, por lo que de esta forma tengo la LIBERTAD de cortar lo que necesito. Esa la razón principal por la que compré MTC!
Todos ustedes saben lo mucho que amo a mi Cricut Expresión (y muchas saben la historia de que fui una de las primeras en tener una Cricut cuando salió en el 2006), al momento poseo dos la pequeña de mis nenas y la Rosita mía!) Ultimamente he estado jugando con ella y el programa de MTC! (Si usted no sabe acerca de MTC vaya
aquí para aprender un poco, pues es un programa fabuloso que puedes utilizar para cortar casi cualquier imagen con tu Cricut y otras máquinas de corte! Quiero decirles que lo recomiendo 100% y les sugiero que consigan el suyo pronto! especialmente ahora que está en especial!) Te encantará la libertad de cortar lo que necesitas con este maravilloso programa que a la vez es super fácil de usar) Les puedo decir que lo que más me gusta es que puedo cortar otras imágenes que no están disponibles en los carts de la cricut, como por ejemplo de las páginas de colorear que encontramos en la internet! Tengo un par de imágenes que he conseguido en la internet y también he comprado algunos de los "doodlebats" de scrapnfonts y letteringdelights para cortarlos con mi MTC y mi Cricut! Lo que no sabe PC es que, incluso con MTC y TODO lo que se puede conseguir GRATIS y/o barato, todavía estaba comprando todas los carts que quería, luego de comprar el MTC también compré la Gypsy!! o gitana!! y sobre 25 carts más! así que tener MTC no me iba a detener de comprar los carts que yo quería, pero esto que están haciendo si lo hará!
Al final, sé que lo que YO diga o haga no va a tener mucho peso, pero me gustaría enviar un mensaje PC de que sus acciones son incorrectas. Tengo planeado boicotear todos sus productos y espero que me acompañen. Esto será difícil para mí - que en realidad estoy interesado en algunos carts que están por salir, pero voy a comprar las cuchillas compatibles de otras compañías y voy a seguir acondicionando mis mats hasta que pueda o hacer otros nuevos si tengo que hacerlo. Y si al final tengo que conseguir otra máquina de corte, también lo haré. Ya estoy haciendo mi "research" de máquinas de corte que den un mejor servicio al cliente y que quieren para sus clientes lo mejor que puede tener! Creo que hay espacio para que todos puedan hacer crecer su negocio y si alguien hace algo que da mejores resultados a sus productos se debe estar agradecidos a ellos, no tratarlos de esta forma!
Espero que esto termine pronto y Andy y su familia puedan tener la paz y la tranquilidad que ellos se merecen! Mis oraciones por ellos!
